Thread: The Peak by Caribou Lodge YoYo Works

well i was looking through the revews and realized that there was not a review of the peak! and i just got one of the new run peaks and i figured i should review it as they are being released soon(hopefully) this is also my first review so be nice =)

Packaging



simple enough, stamped box with some padding in it so that the yoyo does not get too shaken about, nothing special but i didn't buy this yoyo for the box =P

First Impression

ok now i must admit, i was not too impressed by the peak when i first started throwing it, it was a bit big and also very responsive, but after a couple hours of play i really got to like it, it is very stable and very smooth. also i just cleaned the bearing and it was dead unresponsive, you can break it in if you want, i just prefer to clean my bearings

Size and Shape



this is what i really like about this yoyo, it fits really nicely in the hand and is IMHO the perfect shape, its not to small but not huge, compared to CLYWs other yoyo the BvM it is very different, a lot wider and bigger overall.

Guts



very nice response, silicone! my personal favorite, very tight binds and unresponsive once the bearing is cleaned. not much more i can say about the response, its basically perfect, no need to change it or anything.

Overall

this is a really really nice yoyo, to all those who think its all just hype, it is not. it is my favorite throw and my main throw, a really nice yoyo and i highly suggest you buy one when they come back to the other store.

*sigh* soon enough a peak will be mine.

Ehh... I still think otherwise.

Nice of CLYW to finally put the price higher. They are nice, but I wouldn't pay anything over 95 bucks for one.

i think the production price is going to be probably around the same as the original peaks, i guess they just had these ones a bit more expensive because it was a limited run.

I hope I can grab one of these. Should I just keep an eye on the other guy?

pretty sure thats the only place they will be selling them.

I don't think that guy would have them. Try another country.
