Thread: i need a website video

anyone know where i can find yoyo videos that i can copy and post up on my blog website becuz i have a xanga and im trying to get some of the crazy yoing stuff out there to random people who read it and well i need a site with a video on it so i can just gank it from there through html

and i dont mean videos that i need to download or that use a flash player cuz i know where to find those..i need a website with a video already playing on it

so basically your wanting to use up other people's bandwidth?

oh..its wrong?..i didnt know that it causes ne harm or nething i just figured its basically copy n pasting...oh well

well as long as you check with whoever your doing that to and they're ok with it, then there's no harm done...but bandwidth costs money duder, which people dont mind so much if people are actually visiting their site...but if you've got it "Ganked" as you said, then you're sucking up their bandwidth everytime someone on your blog watches it...they're having to pay for you to have the video on your site...

some people buy a certain amount of BW per month, and once that is exceeded, their site goes down...other people just have a monthly charge for however much is used per month...say they're used to paying for about 500mb of BW per month (pretty small) and you leech a video they have hosted on their site...then at the end of the month, instead of getting a bill for 500mb of transfers, they've got a bill for a gig or 2 worth and it's not even from people visiting their site...yet they're stuck with the bill...

see how that could anger someone?

just be sure you check with someone before you do that stuff dude...there's some hell bent people out there that go a little hardcore if they catch you leeching stuff on their site...like, replace the video that you ganged with something very offensive/inappropriate for most viewers...

just a heads up, man...

Luke's got it right. Doing that may iritate people to the point of hostility.

Hot Linking is not cool at all. I've had it done to me and it ended up costing over 200$ in overages.
