Thread: your callous

take a pic of your callous and add how long have you been throwing.
I saw mikey's in a vid and it looked REALLY AWFUL.
It's odd, cause I've been throwin for almost 2 years now and my middle finger looks exactly like the others... so no point for me taking a pic.

Not much difference over here either...

Maybe Mickey throws real hard?

Well, mine is SOOOO bad. My camera is not working, so I can't take a picture. =( But, dudes. my bleeds if I yo-yo to fast. =) Like It HURTS!!!!!!! Since I like to do 2A a lot, I have another on my left... They hurt sooo bad.

But not only on my middle fingers, but on my right hane pointer. Now that is the worst thing ever. It fells so weird. Like I sometimes Patrick (YoWhatever) rub one side of my finger, and then the callus. It is like a rock. Even ask Patrick, he will tell you. Errr... I Hate the fell of it, but it gives me the yoyo pride in myself!

my friend had a cool looking ring... so i asked him if i could check it out.. put it on my left middle finger, perfect fit.. put it on my right.. stuck at where my yo string goes :(

My right hand middle finger only has a few small crack-like lines on it's side (it looks a bit like scaly skin) but it's nothing too obvious so I don't think it's worth a picture.

If you touch the side though, you'll notice the obvious difference between it and the other parts of my finger and my other fingers, it is pretty much harder.

When I play freehand for an extended time period I also get these lines on my index finger side (since I use it for the throw and mid-play for support).

I have like a raised area, but it's not hard at all, so it's not really a callous. It's not very noticible.

I have more of a callous on the whole left side of my index finger from 5A, like JoJoYam. It's all string burned and it hurts.

I'm in the same predicament as Grant. I really only do 2A so my right & left hands have callouses. SOmetimes if I don't use tape, they can bleed. ....Ouch.lol

As long as I et the tricks down I really don't care about my fingers.lol

But mine comes from 3Aing. I also have this HUGE callous on my middle finger where the string goes and above it from the way i throw the yoyo down. Long story......

My finger has started to heal but when it was at it's worst, it hurt to hold a pencil. And once started bleed in the middle of class... Everyone was like OMG STRANGE HUMAN CONBUSTION!!! (Teacher had read us a book about that... long story as well... just google it...)

But i figured it was from all the yoyoing....

my callus doesnt really look different than the rest of my finger, but the area where the string goes is raised up a tad and feels rougher, and the index of my left had has string burns all over it. they dont hurt, but if u look at under light the string burn lines are shiney.

my pointer finger has a callous on it and its really hard and looks really ugly. Then on my middle finger has one and that really hurts

I have some pretty nasty callouses going on. I'll try to get a pic up soon. My index fingers have cracks from string burn and such and my middle has a few more cracks on the left side from the initial part of every throw and the right side of the middle finger is just rough from rubbing.

I'll try to get pics.
Oh and been yoing about 10 years but only unresponsive for one.
