Thread: Behind the Laughter... The YoYo GAME SHOW!!

I wanted to write this post about the YoYo GameShow, because I never really explained the GameShow.
So here are the answers to the most asked questions about the show...

"HOW DID THE GAMESHOW START"
The GameShow started when I gave Flameboy a birthday present last year, and we joked about making a GameShow where people had to play a game to win a yoyo. Nivik suggested that I put it on TheYo, and someone came up with the idea of choosing from the yoyo or what is in the Box. Well I got bored with the yoyo or the Box game, so I made up other games to keep myself amused. And yes it is all about my enjoyment!!

"HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE CONTESTANTS?"
Well... at first I put on people I knew fromTheYo, and now I am choosing people I respect from reading their posts on TheYo. I PM people asking them if they want to be on the GameShow and then we set a date/time to play and then it's on!

"WHERE DO YOU GET ALL THE STUFF YOU GIVE AWAY?"
I buy it.. duh! And I also get stuff donated from people to use in the show.

"IS THIS SHOW RIGGED?"
NO! Before each show, I choose a game to play and then take pictures of the boxes or cups or yoyos. Then I download them onto my favorite free picture space... Imagestation. Then when the game is being played I post the pictures. The pictures are taken before the game is play!! I do not cheat! But I do give hints to the players.... well it is about giving free stuff away!

"CAN I BE ON THE GAMSHOW?
Yes... in time... everyone will be on the GameShow one day.

"WHY DO YOU DO THE GAMESHOW STU?"
Becasue I enjoy it. The goal for the show is to give away stuff, but in a fun way. I really like hosting the game and people seem to enjoy watching it be played. I also believe that what goes around, comes around. So I am building up lots of good karma points!

That's very nice Stupenous. I wondered about all that stuff but I was too scared that someone will like give me a warning for not looking back. Well I hope that I could be on the Yo Yo Gameshow

"The YoYo GameShow, where Stu goes broke!"? Keep up the good work!

It's very nice of you to do such a generous act as of giving away free stuff to your fellow yo-yo players, very nice indeed. And I do believe that your good karma is very strong, and that when time comes that you might need help, I am very sure the people you have Helped in the past will be more than willing to give you a hand. Hell, even if I havent been so lucky to be on your show, I know I will help you if your in need...You never know...

I think it has been made extremely clear, many times in many posts, that begging does not get one selected to play the game.

Just in case, here is the babelfish translation of the above statement:
Eu penso que estêve feito extremamente desobstruído, muitas vezes em muitos bornes, que implorar não começa um selecionado ao jogo o jogo.

It doesn't come out 100% correct, but should get the general idea across.

The answer is... YES!
Also, I have noticed that I have not had anyone from a country besides the U.S. on the show, and I have not had any women/girls on the show. Maybe I neeed to diversify the contestants.

Heck, I will speak in a few foreign languages if it will get me on the game show. I mean, you are looking at a 5 time champion of Jeopardy, Wheel Of Fortune, Fear Factor, Dog eat Dog, Amazing Race, Road Rules, THe Price is Right.....

Thanks for posting that info STU, as i dont really know you i seen you doing the show and started wondering about it. Over time i just came to think you were some guy with a lot of money to spend and has fun giving away things lol. This kinda made things clearer for me
