At last I have a travel worthy case to house my yos and stuff. It used to hold the astrojax case, a UV light and fitting, a small diabolo and some poi, but my yos needed somewhere to go. Too much bloody clutter! exclaimed the gf, so I made a trip to find some foam...

    Contents:
Top rack, Enyo Hitman, X-Con, Night Moves 3
FH2, Zan Navi with redone caps
    Painted FHZ, Fluchs, old Viper

Bottom rack, Lyn Fury, Peter Fish looper (Duncan ProYo underneath), Lizard
    2x Playmaxx ProYos, both slots
    Hyperwheel, Yotech Super Wing, Butterfly

Bits and pieces are a pair of 3-colour strobe LED poi, spare batteries for AJs and poi, strings, tape, hex key for Fluchs, glove etc etc.
On the top of the AJ case is a HWHW clone with caps removed, Zombie, Bearing King top, and Stealth Jax.
Down the front you will see a Duncan Neo, glo "Oliver" imperial, modded Yotech Firebird, Ren & Stimpy glo yo (also in inset), and an RD-1. The diabolos are all Mr Babache except the blue and yellow Spinabolo, and the Finesse has a Firebird light-up circuit in each hub.

And this is the AJ case unpacked.

Most of the ajs have since been retuned, and the Stealth Jax is also kept in there somewhere.

Hey Ryan, I have another lump of foam spare if you want some cut for your toolbox. I'm pretty sure I have a toolbox just like it which I can measure, just let me know what kind of design you'd like.

    Peace
    Joseph

    Go get your own... here

Ok Ryan, I just didn't like the look of those yos clattering around in there.

    Che bo.

    Great case

What shape did you use to cut with? Did you just push, or did you heat up metal, or what?

    Keep it up,

    Thanks guys.

I got the foam from Para Rubber, which is a rubber and pool supplies shop. They also sell small pools you can set up anywhere, lots of foam, rubber and plastic sheeting and tubes, all that stuff.
It's fairly dense and has great shape memory (it bounces back to original cut shape even after being compressed for days), and was labelled as acoustic foam. I looked around for good dense stuff, most of the other stuff looked like cushion filler.

I made a template and marked out the stars (you might notice where I mismarked the holes for the FHZ and Fluchs ) and cut them out with a craft knife, first a triangle and then the other points. The top layer has thin triangle bits of foam glued back in the bottom, and cardboard to hold its shape. This way all the top layer yos are completely surrounded by foam. Not really necessary as they're held in place by the foam pretty well, but then you've never seen the way Air New Zealand handles baggage...

I thought about making a metal shape to heat and press through, but the only good element I have is a soldering iron, prolly not enough heat. I could do it electrically if I had a better power supply though.
