What kind of customization are we talking about here? More information will go a long way towards finding what you're looking for :)

Are you talking about _making_ a custom yoyo, or customizing an existing yoyo? Is this related to your other thread about putting your own logo on something?

Well, the logo thread is for my friend who wants to promote our video company in a new way. I would like to customize my own personal yo.

Define 'customize'

Do you want a new yoyo made from scratch? or do you want to modify an existing yoyo?

That's very nice of you to say, but there are modders a lot more skilled than I am. If you're cool with acrylic or delrin, Landon Balk does custom stuff for people.

I can definitely second Landon for any custom stuff. Acrylic and Delrin are his main mediums, but he can turn anything. From scratch or existing he'll be able to do it :)

But yes, +1 to please elaborate. Details are most necessary things :P

Draw a picture

Even if your drawing skills aren't great, that could help. Another bit of info that would help would be specs for the yoyo - material, diameter, width, weight, response, bearing size, etc.

Autodesk offers free software to students. If you are a student, download Autodesk Inventor. It's very easy to use, and it can tell you weight and other specs of your design that would be hard to figure out.
