Thread: Xodus 2 bearing and spacers

I just bought a Yomega Xodus 2 so I can start offstring. I was curious as to the inner workings so I took it apart like I always do when I get a new yoyo, especially since this is my first Yomega yoyo. The bearing and spacers were familiar because they resembled my Duncan Metal Drifter somewhat.

The problem is that the bearing is stuck on the axel, it will not go pass the screw threads for some reason. I think it did when I first opened it up but now it will not since I have screwed it back on and tried to throw it. When I tried to throw it, it just came right back, no sleeping. I opened it up again and that is when I noticed the bearing would move up and down the axel on the smooth part but would not come off pass the screw threads. I think I am missing a spacer because there is one on the other side of the bearing which is like the bearing only thinner and is now trapped between one half and the bearing. I don't know if it came with another spacer but I need something to put on the other side so it will sleep. Am I missing a spacer or is one all you get? Can I use a substitute like a metal washer or something?

Yes, if it's like all the other yomegas I've seen you are missing a spacer/bearing mount. Check around where you took it apart.

Is it an xodus or xodus II? You can buy a new kit for an xodus II from yomega.

is the string under the bearing because if it is it wont sleep.
at least thats all I can think of. open it up again and take a look.
