If you want sides to match, use a follower.. easiest possible way to do it outside of cnc. Much simpler than grinding profile tools.. which work, but are annoying and damn near impossible to use with hard materials on these small lathes.

Also a heck of a lot easier than cutting all sorts of steps and angles.. which again can work, but takes a ridiculous amount of work.

I've got it down to having both sides match, perfectly to about 2 minutes total (after the yo is apart). That includes chucking, checking trueness, and everything else. This of course is only for plastic. I do grind my own tooling, which I keep metal and plastic bits separated. I actually like to grind my own tools! I know this sounds crazy because its so grueling, but I find it relaxing to an extent. Gives me a break from turning once in a while.
Keep in mind, I don't do this for a living, like you may, I do it for fun....so really, its not work. Not for now, anyhow.

Now, on to your little childish comment....

Kyle, as I've told you before, I don't really care for you as a person. However, I do admire your work, and even throw one of your yo-yos frequently (The Cyclotron). As much as it irks me to say it, it IS one of my favorite throws.....you really did a great job with it. Also, rumor has it you helped out with the new Screaming Eagles....I'm almost equally impressed (I haven't had much time with my Vendetta and MayheM yet. Which did you help out with? I'm guessing the Vendetta)

Don't take this previous part the wrong way....I'm just trying to make a point. I can not care for you, but admire your talent just the same. And yes, I do think you're talented with yo-yo manufacturing.

I actually find you amusing! the way these "kids" follow you, and blow sunshine up your arse....and the way you seem to be their "fearless leader"

So...the bottom line is....I really could care less if you, or any of your "congregation" likes me, or even takes me serious. You'll take me serious soon enough. I promise.

With all this being said....if you'd like to comment on my posts....feel free. I'd take a serious look at them, and even value your input as a modder. If you're going to keep up the childish comments....do so on someone else's thread.

What are the differences between your metal and plastic bits? I know it will have to do with rake etc. but what is the difference in rake or what not?

Rake/ Chip clearance angles mostly.

Mainly I keep them apart because I like everything to be uniform from one plastic to the next. I almost NEVER have to re-sharpen my plastic bits! Actually, now that I think about it, The only time I have to grind them, is because I want a change...NOT because they're dull.

Exactly, it doesn't work that way.

What you've done is not a horrendous or terrible act, but rather; an out of place one. We here on the forum, especially the old veterans like me, icthus, kyo and the others would never expect such actions from a member that so suddenly joined the forum.

Simply put, you could really consider what you're doing as something correct, rather than wrong but that only applies if you change the time and place of the actions, and your actions can't change. It's just like how my two personalities can't change. I can be a glittery bubble of idiotic sarcastic fluff or I can be your worst nightmare but that's not your choice, neither is it mine, it's just how things are.

Being a modder in this community first of all takes respect from the community itself, with no respect you will never be taken seriously. People of this forum already know that icthus can be random and strange but take action when needed and that kyo can be hard on people, as well as even hated by some, I on the other hand can't control my personality, the community knows this therefore respects me and the rest of the modders no matter what their flaws are as long as we respect the community.

You're ignoring the simple fact that the people you're serving are biting your hand. If there's no reason to continue doing something, the logical destination is to stop, so why haven't you? That's what I'm trying to figure out, either you're a complete idiot or you've got some other intentions especially when you openly insult other modders who originally did nothing but help you in the beginning.

For instance, you claim to be a figure on yoyo mods, but the only two forums you've ever visited under that alias are theyo and yoyonation, as well as the fact that apparently by process of elimination your email address was only created for the sole purpose of creating the accounts. It does not link up with Myspace or Facebook nor does it offer any reasonable information from any other sources.

Interesting, the facts really do seem to point out the fact that this was all pre-meditated, you jumped right into the modding section and started suggesting advice as if you've been here for years. It wouldn't even surprise me if you really were another member under an alias. When you joined the forum you already knew what you wanted to do, the people here didn't matter; your mods did. Did it all turn out how you planned it?
