Thread: YYF velocity fixed Gap MOD

Have you ever wanted a Velocity with a wider gap or or fixed gap with sticker response. I have to apologize I don't have any photos but I can explain the mod. I did this with the first release velocity that has string slippage problems.
I did one with a Buzzon medium SPR. But I did it the correct way.
You basically take out the adjustable gap guts of the Velocity.
You take SPR and use a screw and nut assembly. put it through the SPR hole and tighten the nut.
Put it in the Chuck of your drill and use sand paper. Turn on the drill hold between your legs and use the drill like a make ship lathe.
And sand the SPR down in size to fit in the recess of the Velocity halves.
Use your dremel tool to flatten out the velocity recess put in the newly fitted SPR and you have a Fix gaped Velocity.
Or also add a Hub stack kit and you have a hub stacked velocity.
