    just a quick question. i just bought a tube of permatex flowable silicone windshield and glass sealer.
    i have been having trouble getting the stuff into the groove, and i am getting bubbles and gaps. i have been avoiding using the long neck, because of the wastage i will get when i am done (all that silicone left in the neck). but now it looks like i need the neck.. does anyone have any other technique on getting around using the neck?

    or can i leave the neck on after i use the silicone? or will that ruin the whole tube?

    I leave the neck on, and just stick a metal rod into the tube so it doesn't dry out.

    If you're anything like me, i only use my tube of silicone once every 2 months or so, its a lot to waste yeah, but the tube will still last for ages.
