maybe but it shouldnt effect your sleep time much at all its basically just to make it a fixed gap so its less of a hassle and to prevent the string from slipping into the bearing seat when you have your gap wide

Means the bearing isnt fully seated into one side, making the gap a millimeter or so wider. And as above, you'll have a fixed gap so its always as you like it.

Yea and from what I have heard they bend after a while so it might be good to have some replacements

umm you also might want to get 100 strings if you dont have many extras (like less than 15)

i agree with them all... you can also make your own shims (mods and maintenance sticky)

but if you are going to buy them, pick up many! another thing many people forget to get when placing their orders are: shims, yyj lube, and string... keep that in mind!

umm.. yea! thin lube is way better... for un-responsiveness, and long sleepers (i am guessing that is what you are after.

it also breaks in fast, and protects your bearing!

Well... After a year of mowing lawns, Shoveling snow off side walks, and selling yoyo strings for 1$ each at my school, AND my birthday money... Yeah it adds up to 1195 dollars, then theres Bank intrest so i guess its a lil over 1.2k dollars. I rarely spend large amount of my money (maybe my moms... well she offers to but my yoyo string...) so this is what i have saved. so it wasn't a typo, but i keep my cash in the bank so i get intrest and its safe
