I grew up on Duncan and yomega and I'm sure most of you from my generation did too.there was no comparison back in the day....nowadays its a different story. They will always be heavy hitters in the world of throwing but mostly due to name. My opinion on it is this, bearing sizes. The reason people would rather a YYF or YYJ is because of the standard bearing size. My maverick is one of my smoothest throws but since the gap is so narrow I pick up my dv888 instead. Duncan is nowhere near as guilty as yomega is for this crime but they are far from innocent. I strongly dislike the smaller bearings Duncan uses in such yoyos as the metal drifter and freehand. Am I wrong for these assumptions?

There's really no right or wrong.
If you like wider bearings, then they're 'right' for you.
Someone doing more regen stuff might prefer a narrower bearing.

Doesn't matter to anyone but you. Relax and throw and have fun.

If you succeed in destroying someone's deeply entrenched beliefs using facts and logic, that person won't change his mind but will hate your guts forever.
