Thread: Certain Slack Yoyo?

Hey everyone-
Recently I've been wanting to get into more slack tricks. Currently I am using a Dark Magic II, I was wondering if I would have better luck with slack tricks if I used a different yoyo. Any certain kind that works well?

Slack tricks work fine with the dm2. You will find that string tension is key as well as fluid movements. Aiming the string at the gap can be a bit tricky at first but the dm2 is rather large, giving you a nice target. It might be helpful on some slack tricks to have a lighter yo, it does make it easier to pinch the string and hold it with less weight but the dm2 should be fine. However, if you are ready to acquire a new yo, then the dm2 is awful and you need to get a new throw immediately! (I'd hate to interfere with a new yo acquisition)

You don't like the Dark Magic II? :o Imagine my shock! Then what would you recommend?

as long as its not tug responsive any yoyo will handle just about any slack tricks you can think of
