Duncan's got an interesting throw in the works, set to be released Fall of 2011. They posted a video on Youtube:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDcn-ZdGYMA

Basically, it looks like a ProYo that can be easily converted to a wing-shaped throw. This is cool because 1: I've kind of been wanting a pair of higher end loopers, and wanted to try out 3A. These would be perfect for that from what the video looks like. I do however wish that Duncan would move away from the friction stickers and use the SG pads like what's used in the Raptors, Echo's, and Metropolis.
    Main Yo-yo lineup:
Duncan Raptor (Rawr!), RecRev No. 9, Yomega Maverick, Metal Drifter, Popstar, and Lyn Fury

If I could only have one super power, it would be the power to have all the powers I want!

This looks very interesting. I wonder how well they can execute it as both a looper and a modern string-trick yoyo, or if it ends up being more of a basic-proficiency-in-each kind of thing. Either way, it looks like something worth trying, and it should be good for casual players at least.

I think the SG stands for silicone groove. Duncan's high end metal line (or at least some of it) uses a slimmer, deeper pad recess/silicone groove, and they make SG pads to fit those. Theoretically, they could make multiple inner shells for this yoyo so you could choose between friction stickers, SG pads, or whatever else they decide to make, but I don't know if they have any plans to extend that option to their lower-end line.

    RIP YoMike

Looks like a Pocket Change competitor. I like the look of it. Can't wait to give it a try!

I'm working on something similar to this with my Mosquito. The difference is that an extra flared shape is going to go on the outside, where the cap goes, increasing the butterfly shape. And the fact that it isn't a looper.
