well, my sister was putting (with my permission) the string that was on my 888 onto my k-os. i didnt see what happend, nor did she tell me what she did.
but i went over there cuz i saw that something was wrong.
the bearing was on the same side as the axle.
the string is stuck under the bearing. the bearing wont budge.
i found out later that she put the string over the axle just above the bearing.
and she said that when she threw it down, it came straight back up.
ill supply pics if you have no idea what im talking about.

Get pliers or something of the sort and take the bearing out...

If string is stuck under the bearing, the bearing must not be on tight.
Got teeth?

They may work. But... results are not guaranteed.

The mouths in this thread made me laugh. By the by, regular plyers work, just don't over do the force you use...

Wow..
how did this turn into a gross teeth thread?
anyways, i got it.
also, if you have to take out your bearing with pliers, and dont want to scuff up the bearing, put a rubber-band around the bearing and pull it off.
no damage done :]Musical impressions define inspiration for years.
