i dont know just how many of you have seen this video, but it was my first time to see it today and it really made me appreciate people like this and the fact that i am Filipino....not full blood but hey it counts.
http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...arch&plindex=1
yoyoing would not be what it is today if it wasnt for experts like this...sure the tricks he is doing are basic but the way he does them, the way he sells himself, communicates with the children and most of all teaches them how to yoyo is what i think a real professional yoyoer really is all about.
ever since i started throwing in 1999 i was always interested in the history of yoyoing in the Philippines. So every time i yoyo around here and talk to people that are interested or have some kind of history to share with me i learn more about it. what it was and to add to my knowledge of what it is now.

i always laugh at that video... i still hate ppl that run up to me when they see me yoyoing and are like "did you know that yoyo's were originally used as weapons" and i'm like "a big rock with rope wound around it and then set on a tree branch does not count as to hemisphers connected by an axle of some kind. the greeks did it first" and then they get all pissed and storm off... or they try and argue for a while and i just keep yoyoing... but that old guy had it right the first yoyo BROUGHT OVER not the first yoyo in general ...they did the first sleeping yoyo though... sorry for that little thread jack there but i just went round and round with some lady at the cheveron... lol BOT

Doc pop, Steve Brown, Johnny Del Valle IMHO just think about for a few minutes.

Slow down, you move too fast
You've got to make the morning last
Just kickin' down the cobble stones
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy
