All of the above and seeing my old yo folks, the folks who are there contest after contest. You know them. You see them too. They're always there.
They are the backbone of the sport. They keep the spirit alive and carry the flame.
If you succeed in destroying someone's deeply entrenched beliefs using facts and logic, that person won't change his mind but will hate your guts forever.

What AC said. What I enjoy most is getting to hang out with the folks I only get to see at contests. Everything else is just kind of icing.
At least 15% of what I say is true.

I've only been to one competition...a Yomega y3a championship in vegas many years ago.
The whole experience was magical...from start to finish.
I entered for the novice portion of the comp, and even though I was going just as a noob..,I got TONS of support from theyo (way back in the ezboard days lol).
I even had a t-shirt custom made (the one I'm wearing in my avatar) to show my love and support for theyo.com...I carried a marker around with me and had tons of people sign the back of the shirt for me. Just a really fun memory.
I met some amazing people too. Doc pop, Johnnie DelValle (such a cool guy!) a fellow member of theyo, Steve Brown (he and a few other guys even sang a song on stage for us rofl)...and some japanese guys I forget the names of off the top of my head...they were so awesome to watch on the stage!
It was just amazing. The whole experience of it all...from start to finish.
It was just magical.
Oh and they gave away a lot of great things too! Just for signing in for the competion on day 1 they gave you a goody bag filled with yo-yo's and all sorts of accesories.
And I did end up winning the novice portion...they gave me a beautiful trophey. . .I did not expect such a nice prize for just the noob part of the competion (they also gave me another bag of goodies for winning that had even more yo's, a yo bag, a contact juggling acrylic ball, and lots of other realky cool things.)
It was just amazing.
