I love mine completely dead on the string so that I can do slacks and grinds. I did so many (actually only a few before I learned my lesson, but they still hurt a buch) knuckle biters trying to do grinds and slack with my mini motu, which was completely stock at the time. Now I have a KK ceramic bearing in there and it is dead on the string.

Semi-responsive. Not enough to tug it up, but gives a nice tight bind.

Never. Coming. Home.
EDIT: Actually, in FNG's yo guide, (found under this) I prefer #1.

depends on what yo-yo I am using.... if I am using a kked yo I want dead on a string, but if not I like a snappy bind.

If at first you don't succeed, go ahead and secede!

I like mine responsive, but I'm starting to get tired of it coming back at high rates of speed when I don't expect it, so I'm m0ving on... According to FNG's guide, I'd be a "yert" :)

With my DM I'm liking semi-responsive.. when it is spinning at high RPMs it comes up with a tug, otherwise, a bind.

When Im trying to learn string tricks I like responsive yos ( kickside) but after I really master the trick I use my HG. I use my Hg for slack tricks so I dont play bloody knucles with my KS

I like mine quite responsive. I pretty much only like to use Freehands and Freehand 2's with fresh stickers for 1A ( crazy, huh), so yeah, responsive is good to me.

Lately I have been using semi to really responsive setups, I've noticed I have gotten much smoother. I don't really like completely unresponsive.
