with thin yyj you dont even have to squeze the bottle to get lube to come out. You should clean it again and just tap the nose of the bottle on the bearing and look really hard , youll see a very small bit of oil transferring onto the bearing . And if that dont work take off the sheilds and clean it. and if that dont work ummmm i dont know what do do after that

EDIT: O ya, change the string to

Is it a small SPR? The smaller the bearing, the less lube it takes to make it responsive.

Is the rubbing alcohol that you're using 100% alcohol? If not, then that may be your problem. Cleaning bearings in alcohol usually expedites the rust cycle in most metals based on to two reasons. Firstly, the alcohol my have a minute amount of water in it (if it is not exactly 100% alcohol) that would attack the bearing while it's soaking and would cause rust. Secondly, due to the high volatility of the alcohol, the bearing would become completely dry and exposed to the air in a matter of minutes (even seconds) where the water vapor in the air would then slowly attack the bearing as well. I suggest using mineral spirits, Opps cleaner, or any oil based degreaser instead of the alcohol.

Small bearings require only the slightest tap/drop of oil before they would become packed with lube and extremely resonsive, like sottle and SQ22 said.It is better to have tried and failed miserably, then to never have tried at all!
