I've recently sparked an interest in making papercraft out of dollar bills. Ive however yet to make much better than a paper airplane... however I was wondering if someone here had suggestions on something a little more impressive.

I can make a bowtie, and I think I can still make a ring.
This is more like origami than papercrafting though. Have you tried searching Youtube? There's alot there. http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...rch_type=&aq=f |

I've got the dollar bill origami book! I know a few sites that show how to make some airplanes. Let me find them again. How about you show us what you've got so far?

![]() Origami = One sheet, one perfect square, no cuts, no glue. (At least purist origami) Papercraft = Multiple sheets, different shapes for the parts, cutting (duh!), and glue is used (or tape... but not usually) BIG difference. ![]() ~yo! shi! |

Papercrafts are basically paper models. Imagine model planes, cars, and the like, only it's done with paper instead of with plastic.
Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper to resemble certain things, usually done with a single sheet of paper that hasnt been glued, taped, torn, or cut. The only thing they really have in common is both are done with paper. |

Not really papercraft at all, but I thought I'd post it anyways since it's money and so awesome. My favorite are the Tron Lincoln and the xkcd characters, but the 300 one is definitely the most ridiculous. EDIT: Not my stuff, just something I found whilst perusing through flickr.

Wow dude, excellent find! Some of those are real keepers (especially 300). I hope he doesnt spend those at the same places very often. If one particular store keeps turning stuff like this in, surely the bank would take action to find out who it is that's turning them in. Surely he's smarter than that.

I dont think its illegal unless you do so much to the bill that you cant tell what it is anymore.. So no covering the serial numbers, the security strips, etc. That www.wheresgeorge.com is still around afterall.
