How to persuad friends to start yoyoing

In the city I live, I'm the only one that play with yoyo's.
I'm trying to persuad friends to play with yoyo's .
I showed them some tricks I know. I showed them freestyle vid of all yoyo styles. I showed them some yoyo clips. I give them advice what yoyo they should buy.
But still, none of mine friends want to yoyo.

Does anyone know a good way to persuad friends to yoyo?

From what ive tried with my friends...there is no way that they will be prsuaded if there anything like mine. Ive all you have said and more and all they say is that ive got too much time on my hands and i should get a new girlfriend...which wouldnt be that bad of a trade off if i didn't have to give up yoing

you wont be able to persuade anyone to yoyo. It simply comes from self modivations, wanting to do it. If you dont want to, or dont have fun, you'll never make it anywhere, and you'll give up pretty fast.

Well, you've got point with ýou need to like it if you want to do it.
It is not that my friends don't like yoyoing. Each time when I show them some yoyo clip their reaction will be something like: "cool!!" or "Ik wil dat ook kunnen!!" (dutch for: I want to do that 2)
But when I ask them when they want to order a yoyo, they don't like yoyo anymore.

So I think they like yoyo, but somehow they don't want to buy a yoyo or someting like that x_X

If you really want your friend to yoyo buy him a yoyo. people don't want to spend money if they think it's going to be stuped. After they play with it for a little bit they might like it.

yeah i did that bought my friend a matrix and let others play with them. the only problem is he lost his matrix in like 3 days but at least he wants to get a marelstorm now.

Ya, what I did was post on another forum for people from my area. Then we met at a store and had a demo at the store and sold $150 in yoyos for the store, which is Zoinks in Fanuiel Hall, Boston. Now they're considering letting us start a yoyo club there. Hope this helps, or gives you some ideas... l8a, and Good Luck!

I hope more people here in The Netherlands know yoyoing. Many people here only know yoyo tricks like rocking the babe. I think they should know how cool yoyoing is.
