Hey guys, I just bought the new black Macbook (2.4 ghz core duo, 2gb ram, 144 mb GMA X3100 intel integrated graphics card, 250 gb of harddrvie). I've been reading around and apparently Guitar Hero III won't work on a MacBook because it was an intel chipset card, but some places say since the new macbook has 144 mb of video graphics, it'll still run the game, you just have tweak some graphics settings in the game. Anyone have any info on this? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Uh...you need a really good computer to run it...not integrated graphcs since its a bad port of the xbox 360 version.

>.< but why would they make such an undemanding game, specs wise, so demanding. Probably have lost TONS of sales because of it.

That's like telling the new kid on theyo to just use an imperial!
frets on fire sucks! It is only kinda fun with a guitar controller. and the only way to get the controller is with GHIII.
It is filled with too many long chords on most songs and because of the way the graphics are set up, it is hard to hit a lot of notes.
Hey, what's an integrated graphics card?

If you succeed in destroying someone's deeply entrenched beliefs using facts and logic, that person won't change his mind but will hate your guts forever.

Yeah true, but the fact of the matter still stands, they've mad the wrong choice on making guitar hero III so demanding.

So is the video chipset the same thing as the video card?

It serves the same purpose, excpet a video card is dedicated to your graphics (allowing for smoother, better gaming, videos etc) while a chipset kinda does everything.
