Rock pioneer Bo Diddley dies at age 79

Bo Diddley, a founding father of rock 'n' roll whose distinctive "shave and a haircut, two bits" rhythm and innovative guitar effects inspired legions of other musicians, died Monday after months of ill health. He was 79.

Last night, I was at a party and my grandma was complaining about the music. She said they should be playing stuff like Bo and Charles Mingus and Miles Davis, etc. Today she called me up saying "Did I kill Bo Diddley?" It was freaky.
