my mom had to go for an ekg yesterday.she says her heart is skipping a beat.what could that be? i am pretty scared, i don't want to lose my mom.she means the world to me.she just told me today.she hasn't gotten the results back, but i am wondering what it could be?she has been under a lot of stress from my father as of late.their marriage is probably going to be ending soon.my dads a great guy but the more he ages the more grumpy, arrogant, and annoying he gets.my mom and i cannot take it anymore, but anyway back on the subject. what could it be?besides stress related issues.and do you think it could hurt my mom or kill her??i am like freaking out so someone calm me down and assure me its nothing.

could be anxiety from stress and she is having heart palpations they make you feel like your going to die but they are harmless

I know you are concerned, but hang in there until she gets the results back. Stress and anxiety can cause that. My mother had symptoms like that for 40 years. Went to numerous doctors for tests. She's still alive and well.

My mom had heart surgery a few years back, she's doing fine too.
Don't worry too much until you know anything about the test results. And even then, don't worry. Worrying doesn't do anything for you except build anticipation for anguish.
I'm really sorry to hear about your parents too. This is a tough time for you, but just hang in there and keep your wits about you. There will be better times soon.

it could be panic/anxiety attacks which can usually be controlled with medication and could be a temporary thing...since she's under alot of stress right now over your dad, chances are that could be exactly what's up...I used to have them a several years ago and from what you've said, it sounds similar to what I experienced...
I took the medicine, they went away, and I havent had one in a few years now...I used to get stressed out really easily and apparently now I just dont give a damn so much
at any rate, good luck to the both of you
