Ok guys so right now I am playing Prince of Persia The two Thrones and I would not recommend it to those who don’t have patience. The cut scenes are a bit repetitive when you have to watch them every time before you can play 1 part. Don’t get me wrong the game has good visuals, nice layout and near perfect animation, but the cut scenes are enough to make the most beautiful game not worth playing. Imagin playing Halo2 and dieing, then having to watch some cut scene before you could play. Or imagine playing Counter Strike (for those that play that) and having the exact same thing. You die, go to restart and begin to play but OH WAIT you have to watch the same cut scene. No one would play CS if it was like that and right now its the same way with Two Thrones. I am at a boss battle and I have to fight these 2 guys, well every time you die, you have to watch the SAME EXACT cut scene before you play, its about 20-30 sec. long. I just sat and watched the same cut scene at least... 30 times. I have pressed every button, combination and everything. That alone makes me not want to even play the game any more. I hate games like this and im sure many of you guys do also. So I just typed this up as way to vent from this frustrating game and as a warning to anyone who wants to get the game.

Here are my ratings from 1-10 for the game:

    Visual - 10
Game play - 5 (camera angles in some boss battles become the biggest problem)
    Sound - 7
    FRUSTRATION - 10

If anyone wants to disagree with me please do so because right now im about to throw this game out the window and maybe your statment will convince me to stick it out.

PS. Remember kids, this game isn’t for those of you with anger issues (you will break your PS2 controller, like I almost did).

The type of cutscnes you mention, sound like they suck! I would get sick seeing that over and over again.

However games like Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil 4 have great cut-scenes which help the story progress. THOSE type of cut-scenes rock!

dude, just quit dying and you wont have to watch them anymore...

that does sound pretty annoying...I dont understand why they would have programmed it to be that way...you'd think someone in the R&D with that game would have suggested against it...put the scenes in there if they want, but at least make it so that gamers can skip it by pressing a button...
Always looking for this and that

Dude, the cutscenes are the absolute worst part of Resi 4, the voice actors are hideous and most of the dialogue is cringe worthy.

I shall have my grubby hands on Two Thrones soon, i love the new school Prince of Persia games, much better than the originals.

    That's right, i went there.

Summons from FF VIII anyone? Worst forced video repetition in any game - ever.

Wanna win the fight? Summon something for 2 minutes then maybe have to do it again.... rinse, repeat.

Whisper has a good point with the summons in FF games, but I'm pretty sure that in the case of Prince of Persia, being such a large, complicated game, the cut-scenes are there, and required, to hide the load times in between different parts of the game. Just like the strange blurry rewind-effect in Burnout.

Write it off as another example of why Sony should have left the hard drive in the PS3...
Quick! I need some whipped cream, a tape recording of any early Bee Gees song, and a votive candle. I gotta fix my flat tire before rush hour!

    Final Fantasy 10...

    I wanted to die.

Okay so, cutscene starts..."aww how cool!"...Minutes later "Okay this is getting boring"...go make a sandwich, come back an hour later: "Heeey, waidaminit...is the SAME CUTSCENE still going?!!"

I exaggerated, yes, but not by much...ugh.

Well..for the kind of game it is I think the cutscenes are appropriate.

It would be impossible to tell the story as they did without them.

    (IMO)

think of it like a movie. if you watch a movie and nothing happens but pointless action then the movie sucks. I know a game is different but...yea. doesnt help with the problem with PoP repeating the same cs over and over though :(

    The correct answer was Doomtrain.

Carbuncle is useless with good magic def junctions you're far better off without reflect.

Cerberus...i suppose comes down to preference a bit, i never use him, just cast Triple manually, faster in terms of game time, and real time, but if you're worried about conserving Triples for junctioning i can understand the use.
